Default Advice on B18 build for CRX SI

Hi guys, I have a mildly built 90 crx si that im looking to beef up on engine performance.

so far all I have is a B18A1 engine swap with eagle rods and JE pistons.

the the B18A1 isnt V-tech so im thinking about swapping the head over to a B18C5, now where exactly could i find a good JDM Type-R head for this??

also what are some other components i can change to add engine performance??

I have a skunk 2 intake manifold and some AEM cam adjustable cam gears that im waiting to put on until I have all my pieces, i want this done right!

Besides the B18C5 head, i was also thinking about swapping over the camshafts for better ones once i get it and adding other parts to really make this bullet proof. I am on a budget but i do want this done right so any suggestions??

i think the b18c5 is 10.6:1 or something like that.

and yeah i forgot to mention that i wana keep it naturally aspirated, im kinda on a budget.

i heard the b16 head would also work.

im thinking about either getting a bare b18c5 head and rebuilding it or just getting a b16 head and upgrading some of the components, what do you guys think??

yeah ive been doing some research and the type-r is just wayyy out of my budget, a b16 will do just as fine, im just having a little bit of trouble finding a good JDM one, but hows this set up sound??

B18A1 block w/ b16 head
Mods: eagle rods
JE pistons w/ JE piston rings
Skunk 2 composite fuel rail, skunk2 titanium retainers, skunk 2 racing valve springs
Moroso oil pan
Skunk 2 intake manifold ( idk if this will fit a b16??? it come off a b18 gsr engine)
performance camshafts (not sure what brand yet)
AEM adjustable cam gears

hm.... i know im missing other things, any more advice would help guys thanks!
so where do i find a good JDM B16 head for all this??

and what other parts will i need for this V-tech conversion??

if you got a intake manifold for the b18c1 (gsr) it wont fix the b16 or b18c5 head. the bolt pattern is different and it will only fit a gsr head. skunk2 make good cams but if your on a budget i would get type r cams or brian crower cams there alil bit cheaper then skunk2. if your compression ratio is 10.6:1 i wouldnt go no higher then stage 2 cams. if you get a gsr head b18c1 it would raise your compression ratio slightly around .4-.5 something like that. heres a link for a compression calculator try it out. you could get usdm or jdm head really. they work the same. best place to find them is ebay or craigslist. maybe get a bigger throttle body. Blox makes decent stuff and cheaper then skunk2. golden eagle makes a ls/vtec kit or you could make your own alot cheaper too. i have turboed ls/vtec, its pretty nice.

yeah ive been doing alot of research on all these swaps and i think really my best option here is to just leave it alone, its pretty nice the way it is right now so im just gonna save up, sell me other civic, wait for christmas and get a full JDM GSR swap and turbo charge that.

im gonna be accumilating pieces as i save up for the full swap and the turbo kit so ill ask around and see what pieces will be best for this kit.

i already have good cam gears for it, also a good intake manifold, im gonna work on getting some new camshafts for it also. (none of this is installed on my b18a1, saving up for the GSR)

and when the time comes around im gonna go all out!

im talking about laying down some serious cash, get a full turbo radiator, performance exhaust, performance timing belt, pistons, rods, everything!

its gonna be costy and it will take some good time but i think with some good patience and hard work, this will be a pretty nice build

yeah, like i said before, IT WILL BE VERY costy.

but im gonna save up for about half a year, sell my civic, use my tax refund and whatever christmas money ill get for this build.

im trying to go for 10k which is a very high amount, but if i can save that much up then this will be a very badass build!!!!

ill keep u guys posted.

(noob question)
but how do u upload photos on here??
i wana take photos frequently so u guys can see the build in place
