Re: 91HF Civic sedan build
I thought and thought and thought to try and think of a more plausible location for the fusebox that would be close to the engine bay but I couldnt. I put the fusebox under the dash with my last wire tuck and between the fact that it just didnt look good under the carpet and that the fusebox smells acidic (in my opinion it shouldnt be in the interior of the car) I chose to put the fusebox in the trunk. It kind of worries me to have all those wires running back to the trunk but I'll see what happens as far as heat transfer due to the added distance of the wire routing. Im gonna end up running between 0-6 gauge for the alternator wire to make sure it can handle the amperage. All in all its an experiment

Hope you anchor the battery and box...last thing you need is sulfuric acid dumping out in your trunk....down the line...maybe an Optima battery...no acid....venting it is a good idea...if you've never seen or heard a battery blow up you may think this is bull but it is a hydrogen explosion after all and all it needs is an arc from one of those relays in the fuse box [if they leak, since they're generally sealed in a little plastic box to keep out the elements]

Re: 91HF Civic sedan build
Im planning on using the standard battery box and then venting it through a tube and out through the trunk vent behind the bumper

Re: 91HF Civic sedan build
glad to see my build is so good you used your first post on it haha. I just plan on adding to the exterior of the car slowly. probably in this order
- EP3 Si rims
- EX front brakes and Teg rear discs
- new shocks and springs to drop the car a bit
- oem spoiler wing
- paint
not into stupid crazy tire tucking camber issued cars, just a slight drop

Decided to shorten the engine harness wires (on the firewall side) so its not as cluttered when the ecu and carpet is put back in place

Nope, I can see all the things as to why it's NOT an EX. I bet he won't snap a pic of the beginning of his vin under the hood... Just like he never posted a pic of the ebay link where he sold his cracked climate control for $250 when he couldn't sell it for $150... I think he's playing people as always, and I know he won't prove me wrong because he can't.

Re: 91EX Civic sedan build
had to downgrade the brakes for the hf swap. If you didnt remember the HFs use different axles which were incompatible with the EX hubs. When I picked up the HF engine I requested the HF axles and hubs be included, guy didnt care because he upgraded for his B18 swap. Before you go off and try to make me look stupid I only kept this setup for 1 month because I HAD to have a car for the beginning of the school year, after that I knew I could rip out the swap and take my time wire tucking and rebuilding the B18a1

-_-
HF outer splines are different at the hubs, but the inner splines are the same where they plug into the trans.
Very odd to swap out the knuckles. Could have just used the DX/LX/EX axle, the HF trans, and your stock EX knuckles.
