89 crx crankshaft pulley removal
We're replacing a waterpump on our D16A6, and have run into a snag. The crankshaft pulley needs to come off, and we have discovered that universal pullers will not work... there are no threaded holes in our pulley.
What's the trick to getting this pulley off? Not the bolt, we got it off.... how does the pulley come off?

Slightly tap it with a rubber mallet on the outside and carefully wiggle it out some wd-40 usually works or PB blaster.

Re: 89 crx crankshaft pulley removal
Rubber mallet worked great!
After I was sure it was moving a little, grabbed the top and bottom and wiggled till it just popped of. The bolt was such a nightmare, I was afraid it was gonna be stuck on good.
Mission accomplished, swapped the water pump out, buttoned everything back up, new coolant, test drive. Good to go.
Thanks for the help.
