Default 89 civic ef starting issue

Hey guys I have a simple problem but before I go and get the part I want a second option.

So I have a 1989 honda civic dx 4 speed 1.5 sohc stock

Car will start fine and idle fine when cold. But once it gets warm it wants to die on me and not start back .

I think it's either the air temp sensor or the coolant temp sensor . What do you all think it could be .

Just a guess, but I think the IAT and CTS would cause you to not have the best mpg and a/f ratio. I don't think either one or both combined would cause it to die or not-restart when warm.

I just finished reading alot of info on distributors (because I had a dizzy problem), and some people say a bad dizzy will cause your problem when warm. Also, do you have any ECU codes?

does it run choppy? check the spark when its warm, if its not a bluish purple then it could be ignition coil, jus a guess

It sounds like when it goes to Closed loop it's not adjusting its self properly. Check your 02 sensor ...cel?

Before I spent any money, I'd go through every step of the "Troubleshooting Honda Idle" guide. Especially check to be sure that the FITV (or whatever) is closing when the car reaches operating temp. :0
