Can I check for a bad ECT sensor by unplugging it?
My car is very hard to start when the engine is cold. Once it starts, I can immediately kill it and it will start right up perfectly. Runs perfect as well.
I suspect that it is flooding due to a bad ECT sensor. Can I just unplug it to see if that is the problem without having to use a multimeter?

If you have a Civic with a Fast Idle Valve, you might want to try cleaning it.
Otherwise, I think you should measure the fuel pressure and troubleshoot the distributor.
