1990 crx - tach needle jumps to 7K when key turned on without engine running
I went to the mechanic to diagnose my car wasn't due to it not wanting to start. The Mechanic had told me it was my ignition switch(The cylinder piece where your key goes). So instead of paying the 180 dollars he had quoted me, I decided to do it myself which was incredibly simple to do. Afterwards, it started right up without fail, and it seemed that I had fixed the issue with my car. A few days later when I had gone to start it, it wouldn't turn over, the rpm gauge was at 7k rpms(without the car running, but the electricity on), and the strangest buzzing sound came from near my steering wheel. If anyone may have some insight as to what it may be, I'd like to hear what it may be.

Re: 1990 crx need help
Open the distributor and disconnect the blue wire attached to the igniter unit. Does this prevent the tach needle from jumping when you turn the key?
For the horn problem, check the switch in the steering wheel.
Also please create thread titles that summarize the tech problem you are having.
