Just picked up a 1990 crx si last weekend with a ls swap and gsr tranny. It has tein springs, tokico blues, konig 15s, front/back upper strut braces, new nitto Neo gen tires, short shifter, header, and catback. Painted I think olive green drab? Flat paint with black hood, roof, and bottom 4 inches of body. 118,000 on body and 70,000 on motor. With only 1,000 miles on the swap. Is it worth the $2500 I paid for it? Interior is in great shape also.

What do you think the actual value of this is? I'm looking for a daily driver hatch that gets good gas milage and can be slowly built up decently. I'm still debating between 88-91 or 92-up. I have at most 3k to spend and I need the car I get to be my daily driver. Any suggestions?
Most of my area (Ohio, specifically Dayton) is full of rice and rust so far.

Hey guys I need some advice. I'm looking for a new DD and came across an 89 crx on craigslist. Hes asking 2500, but i only have about 2k to offer. The description is this:

-AEM Cam Gears
-Unorthodox Pulley
-Gerret T3/T4 50 trim turbo
-DSM Turbo 360 Fuel Injectors
-Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
-Brand New Slotted rotors and Brake Pads
-New Upper Control Arms
-New Axle /seals and Axles
-Pushing close to 300 hp on reg gas

The Bad:
-only goes up to 3000 RPM's, Needs a new maf sensor (very easy fix)
-Speedometer cable is disconnected
-and the interior can use some TLC
-no radio
Very fast car, rdy for the track or street. She just needs some TLC.

I texted him and asked about the maf sensor, he said it needs a better one but he doesnt know which one to buy. It was a friend of the family who built it father and son in VA, and it was tuned by a performance shop there. Currently pushing 8psi. He said there are no vaccuum leaks in the turbo and compression is perfect.

Taking all this into account, Is this worth buying as my DD. Do you think it'll be an easy fix and alot of car for the money, or should i stay away? Thanks very much for the help.

I'd stay away and find something that looks nicer especially with the budget your outlining.

What's up guys, it's been a while...I pulled this steering wheel out of a 90 or 91 hatch a couple years ago. I've never seen a leather wrapped OEM steering wheel so I had to grab it. I'd like to know what it's worth, its a shame about the top portion of it, but it looks worse in the picture than it really is.

I can't seem to find enough for sale in my area (Los Angeles+ 50 miles surrounding) to get a good idea for what they are going for.

AWD would be ideal for what I'm planning to use it for.
2WD would be fine though.

That doesn't look oem. Looks like an over wrap (wrapped over top of the oem material).

^ A leather-wrapped wheel was offered as an OEM option (I have seen one also). Not very common, but unfortunately in that condition it will not fetch a high price.

Yeah I can't say for sure that it is OEM, but the quality of the stitching looks more OEM than aftermarket to me. Even if the price isn't that high, I'd still be interested to know what it should go for. I may just end up throwing it on ebay.

I can confirm that is not OEM JDM leather wheel. The real one, the spokes/thumb rests are wrapped as well, all the way up to the horn bezel.

^ Correct; it is not JDM. It is a USDM OEM leather-wrapped wheel.

No cracks or broken anything, but enough scratches to make up for it. Unless they are mint and you have a matching key to go with it I would say its worth no more than $40 probably $25-30

Honestly all of that is dirt. I didnt wipe it down or anything. I could take armor all to it and it would be fine. Thanks for the info though guys! Im going to list it on my local forum for 25 picked up
