Windshield Wiper problems
So its starting to rain and I cant even see a thing in the mornings.... all of a sudden my wipers refuse to work. Does anyone know of 99 EK's (dx) wipers giving out? I can hear the motor come on but no movement, even give the wipers a manual nudge... and nothing.
Is this a simple fix or should I hurry up and buy a new wiper motor?
Thanks in advance for input.... all is welcomed!!

Re: Windshield Wiper problems (geoscranny84)
the **** the move the wipers back and forth maybe stripped. i dont no if on hondas there aluminum or steel. because ive seen wipers on chevys that strip out because there **** are aluminum. all i did was take the wiper off and cleaned up the **** with a wire brush put them back on and they worked fine. hate to use chevy as an example but hopefully it compares to your problem.

Re: Windshield Wiper problems (HondaEK9)
Thanks for the advice... I went ahead and pulled off the wipers and then decided to take out the motor assembly to see what was happening. Thats when i saw that the motor is connected to a lever that turns the drivers side wiper, which then in turn moves another lever that powers the passenger side. It turns out that the darn levers are held together wil bottle cap like plastic peices... and the damn thing broke!
I tried poping it back on and it only fell off once i reinstalled the unit... SO it looks like a replacement assembly for me!
THanks anyway HondaEK9
