window tint removal gone bad
iight so I took off my tints but it left the glue that was used to stick the tint onto the window....I tired taking it off with windex but it wasnt that effective, so I tried using cleaner-degreaser and rubbed it off with scotch brite, this was far more effective then using the windex....but it still takes too long, I was wondering if there was a special chemical that will wipe-off the residue quick and simple???

yeah, the side windows you can use just warm saopy water and a razor blade. the rear, take it to a shop to get it done. I work at a tint shop and thats the best way to do it.

Acetone FTW!
Its cheap and very effective against the glue. But he is correct, don't get this on any panels or your seats... bad news. And use in a well ventilated area.

just spray the crap out of the window with windex or pure amonia and scrap it with a new razor blade. it will not scratch the window and it will come off
i have done this many times and this is how the pros do it

Another recommendation is to use grade #00 super fine steel wool... That's what we used to use in our shop and it worked quickly and effectively. Just make sure not to use regular steel wool, it will scratch the glass.

100% simple green in a spray bottle. It isn't damaging like the some of the other things people suggested. spray on and let it soak, then go with a white scrubber (not green) and it should come off in a few minutes. You will need a bucket of water to rinse the scrubber out otherwise it collects glue and doesn't work as well. For windows without defroster lines, use soapy water and a razor blade.
