Why is my 2000 Civic Guzzling Gas?
I have an 2000 Honda Civic that normally gets 27-30 mpg. Recently, I had it serviced where it received new tires, a fuel injection service, oil change, air filter change, new brake pads, and brake fluid flush. After the service my vehicle dropped from 30 mpg at best to 22mpg at best. What happened? I took the car back to where it was serviced just in case something was done incorrectly. They did a quick visual inspection and said nothing seemed to be dragging which may have caused a reduction in fuel efficiency. They are stumped and so am I. Please help!

A tune up for $250 is robbery. You can buy an OEM tune up kit for $90 on ebay and do it yourself with basic tools in about 10-15 minutes.
$900 for service? Where the hell are you taking the car?

Thats the stealership price, I went over my service records and the gal that owned the car before me dropped that kinda cash on tune ups and belts for my 1999 Civic.
OP, Are the tires inflated correctly? Where you running synthetic oil and they switched to non-syn? Trying to figure out what changed, from brand and size of tire to type and grade of oil used.
