Re: What is this thing ?
The first thing that you asked if it was a relay is an in-line fuel filter. The second picture shows the fuel pump. I wouldn't try switching carburated to fuel injected. Better to just get a new motor.

what is the car we are looking at year, model, trim etc? i would have to agree a swap will likely be much easier by the time you buy manifold, injectors, fuel rail, sensors, ecu, wiring harness, throttle body... the list goes on. I don't know how hard it is to find an engine in malaysia. But in the U.S. i could pretty much say for certain swapping would be much cheaper.

Re: What is this thing ?
First pic is either an inline fuel filter or an inline fuel pump, I can't tell for sure if that wire goes into it or not. (just in case no one has ever seen one, there are inline fuel pumps out there that look pretty much exactly like an inline fuel filter with 2 wires coming out the side, they're mostly used on diesels)

Re: What is this thing ?
Converting to Fuel injection would be JUST as difficult on a new motor....
Putting in a new motor you gotta do the same **** as well as pull the motor and put the new one in.
To convert to MPFI you're gonna need to ditch the vacuum advance distributor. And either modify a DPFI (DX, STD) dizzy or buy an MPFI (SI, HF, LX) dizzy with the Cylinder position sensor...and get a DPFI engine bay harness and modify it for DPFI. Then it's the standard MPFI swap stuff. Manifold, TB, Fuel rain, Injectors, resistor box...all should be found in an MPFI swap thread. Don't forget MPFI spec fuel pump....Fuel lines should be similar.

or the easiest way is buy a car with b16a or b16b in the engine bay huhu

I can guarantee you that you will pay more to convert to injection, than a swap. And it will be much more work than a swap, listen to people who are trying to help you.

Re: What is this thing ?
well what i was saying is it will be much cheaper just to swap an entire fuel injected engine in. I just said d because it looks like that's what you have. I still don't understand why you haven't listed what your setup/car is.
