What seats are these? **EG Guru's chime in**

Re: What seats are these? **EG Guru's chime in**
Didn't see the real answer posted so here it goes: these where the kouki/post-facelift 94-95 EG6 stock seats both in Europe and Japan. 92-93 use the earlier style.

As for the 91 spotting. I'm pretty sure the Japanese generations started a year earlier and ended a year earlier; 91-94 to our 92-95. Not that this is a hugely reliable source, but if you look at GT4, you'll notice that EG's start in 91 and you won't find any 95's.

EG launched in Sept. 91 and EK in Sept. 95. That's why there are 1991 EGs in Japan. There are 1995 EGs in Japan as well. In Europe we got EGs in November 1991, I know some that were registered in 1991 myself.

Did a lil digging. They are eg ferio seats. Limited edition for the b16a ferio only. And what I said about price sorry I was off. Around 400 a seat. Don't believe me?

The seats that you are talking about are the SIR-S seats that came on the (SIR-2's) in Japan. Yes, it is confusing, but in other words the special edition "SIR" which is the SIR-2They are super hard to find and if you do find these seats they will not be parted out on the general occaion because the interior including the front seats are sold as a whole. the whole point of buying these seats are the for the design and the look (red checkered patern). Look to spend between $800 to $1000
Good luck I got super luck to buy the front only for $375 because it has a small cigarete damage due to the previous owner being a smoker.
SIR 1 = Regular SIR seats
SIR 2 = Checkered patern SIR-S seat
NOTE: I have heard of the SIR 2 coming with regular seats as well
check this out here is the link: look under 92-95 civic Eg and scrownl down to SIR-S seats

No, that is not true. It has nothing to do with being SiR, SiR-II or SiR-S. These seats came in all EG6 kouki/post-facelift chassis and in none of the zenki/pre-facelift models.

Dude, we know Kouki and Zenki front ends are S13 Nissan 240's or 180sx in Japan, but what does it have to do with the topic ??????

These seats are from a SIR-S EG6. The front seats were also available for the ferio. 4 drs aside, the SIR-S came with factory leather MOMO steering wheel, different shift ****, gold-colored wheels, and keyless entry.
I bought the steering wheel from a guy in Japan. He sent me some pictures of the elusive SIR-S. If I remember correctly, the SIR-S model was only available in '94, last year of EG model.

Re: What seats are these? **EG Guru's chime in**
kouki = 後期 = late model
These terms are commonly used in the Nissan and Toyota scene, but they don't have anything to do with the cars themselves. zenki literally means "early period", and it can be used with lots of stuff, not just cars.
For some reason no one uses it for Hondas, although it does apply. For example, the 88-89 Civic is zenki, 90-91 is kouki. 92-93 is zenki, 94-95 is kouki.
Go back and reread KoRn_vIRuZ's post again, maybe it'll make sense. I'm not sure if he's correct (since the '91 EG6 brochure shows a holey headrest as opposed to the floater), but there's nothing wrong with his zenki/kouki terminology.

I have '91 and '92 Ferio brochures that show this style of bucket seat. In the Ferio models, these were only available for the SiR. Actually, the seats shown in the brochures had pleats whereas the OP's seats have no pleats. '91 shows seats with the checkered fabric while my '92 brochure shows plain fabric. The brochure specifically states that these were sport seats designed to hold you in place for spirited driving. All other Ferios had the floating headrest style seat. I don't have a brochure for the EG6, but I suspect they had these seats as an option. I'll try to source some EG6 brochures in the next couple of weeks and will settle this once and for all.
