Default What oem SHIFT BOOTS fit inside 96-00 civics?

I would like to get rid of the stock pleather boot. I'm currently looking for a replacement with black stitch showing on the outside of the boot. I'm NOT looking for anything that has red stitch! What should I go with? Should I find something OEM or go aftermarket? Thanks in advance

Here is kinda what I'm looking for:

BTW, I'm going to be matching the shift boot with a prelude **** like the one shown below:

^ that looks nice. Is that an oem itr ****? I have never seen a **** like that one. I made an oem shift **** thread on e j 8 s q u a d. Please let me know, so I can add it to my thread. I actually don't want any red stitching in my ride, but I must admit your set up looks great. It would look even better with red carpet and seats.

The pic 1st pic in my op shows a tsx boot. It's perfect. I just don't know if it will fit. I'm not sure how interchangeable newer shift boots are in relation to 90's hondas. A member on e j 8 s q u a d also confirmed integ boots are swappable in ej8s. Maybe it has something to do with the fact ej8s were out the same time as dc5 integras. Has anyone here tried putting >2001 honda shift boots into an ej8?

I'm currently in the process of making a shift plate with forks so I can just dump my boot altogether. Ever think of that route?

It looks just like the one below minus the gear selection engraving. How do you like that ****? I'm thinking about buying a similar ****. I would like to keep a clean oem look, I don't really like any aftermarket *****.

I'm going to experiment adding weight to my stock **** just for fun. I might do it on the replacement **** if I'm successful with the "test dummy" stock ****. It would be done by drilling into the **** and melting down lead into the holes. I remember reading a thread where someone mentioned this technique. I have also read that lead is illegal in California. A ht member made this statement in the same thread, I'm not sure if he is correct. Do pencils still contain lead or is that a thing of the past? What else could I use?

Please explain. A good link would also be great if you have one. You mean you will be making a custom shift plate?

pencils do not contain lead, it is graphite.

fishing weights are typically lead, as well as most vehicle wheel weights.

Lead has never been used in pencils, it's just a term for graphite. Lead is illegal anywhere depending on how it's used. Not illegal in general.

Its hard to believe whats true and whats false these days. I did a little research about lead in pencils. Some sources says it was used, others says it was never used in pencils.

Anyway, thanks for replies. I will see if I can find some lead fishing weights.

On a side note, I found a very similar **** on H & A accessories. They have this **** listed under the 2001-2005 civic category. Both majestic and H & A show a different style **** in their picture diagrams for the later model preludes. Is it possible you have been misinformed. Please let me know how you acquired the ****. Was it ordered?

I'm still looking for links to shift boot sites. Here is what I have so far:

I put up a DIY. It looks like **** because I have yet to get the metal and had to replace it with rubber for the time being. It'll look sharp once I get the plate in there.
