Timing belt jumped 4 teeth
Does anyone know what would cause the t belt to jump 4 teeth? I thought it would be the tensioner but it seems like its still good. Also i considered the distributor maybe seizing but it still spins freely. i dont know its weird maybe the belt was just loose.

check your cam gears and water pump to see if they move freely (if they take more muscle to move). and check your timing belt again.
i had the same problem. found out upon further inspection that one of the cam lost lubrication at a specific point and was seizing up.

Re: Timing belt jumped 4 teeth (blueeg)
anyone else know how the timing belt would have skipped teeth. I recently swapped in a jdm d15b but i didnt change the Tbelt( i know stupid me) or i didnt check the tension. It skipped 4 teeth, so i reset everything and it started up fine. BUT THE question is will it be okay to drive to my shop without skipping again??? I adjusted the tension to spec and everything looks fine and drives fine, but i dont know for how long??!!!
