throttle cable (eg w/ b18b1)
alright.....im swapping in a b18b1 into my 95 hatch (d15b7). the throttle cable from my d15b7 doesnt seem to fit the b18b1 too well.
the cable bracket on the b18b1 intake manifold is much further away from the throttle cable end compared to the d15b7.
is there a certain bracket i have to use or will i have to use a throttle cable from a ls/rs/gs integra? i was also thinking of just fabbing up a piece of metal to relocate the bracket. will this be sturdy enough?
thanks for your help

Re: throttle cable (HBP.EH2)
I have a b16 sir2 swap, what I did to hook the d15b7 to the throttle cable bracket was fabricate a new one, just got a piece of metal and drilled a couple holes and add the throttle cable bracket to lengthen my custom made bracket and that's it.. can't really explain it.

Re: throttle cable (damnraz)
thats what i was thinking.
how is it holding up? does it tend to flex at all where the custom metal is?
thanks

no it doesn't flex, the two bolts hold it down tight and as long as you have a thick enough material to mount onto the IM, you should be fine.. it's just a throttle cable, it wouldn't have enough force to flex metal.

Re: throttle cable (HBP.EH2)
When we did my swap (B18B in eg) we custom made one out of aluminum so I could use my stock cable. I lucked out because my buddy fabs all kinds of stuff for airplanes and has access to benders and welders. Held up great! Sold the car about year and a half ago and I imagine it's still working. Here's some picks to give you an idea:
