Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Today I pulled my gauge cluster, pulled out the speedometer and swapped the board on the back of it. Noticed a discoloration under the clear "protective goop" Honda put over some of the pins (missed a small spot where the discoloration lie) and tested the new board. Speedometer is working again and should not be intermittent or erratic.
No more beating on the top of the dash to get the speedo to start working again, and nor more strange shooting up to 100 KPH for a 1/4 second.

Shin-etsu on all the seals of the DelSol, if you own a sol this is a MUST!
Ran some tests to diagnose my intermittent no start.
Cleaned out and re-lubed my hood latch.
Scrubbed my floor-mats free of winter grime.
Cleaned out and reoiled Air Filter and PCV air filter, both K+N washables.
Installed my homemade catch can, and relocated the pcv to before the intake manifold. It needs cleaned up this is more or less a mock up, i plan on making it more ascetically pleasing.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
well today i pulled the front straight on my delsol and was puting the bumper back on,
this is before.
the bumper looks like crap the prople who took it off didnt "take" it off it looks like they ripped it off, all the bolt holes are ripped apart so had to make brackets for every bolt and then when i take it for its first drive a ugly yellow light pops up on the dash (engine check) so when i get to where im giong i pop the hood and take a look..... seems as though previous owner had a little trouble fitting a pod filter on with the afm.... so thought "i dont need that.... so now is shows engine check light yay

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Finally figured out the source of my water leaks in the front cabin area.
It only took the following to find it...
At which point I discovered this little gem... It appears the seam sealer went bye-bye a long time ago. This is under the fender next to the hinge for the hood. Put a wad of quick steel epoxy over the hole and followed that with new seam sealer around all the joints for a water-free interior. No pics of the repair though. No water in the front or rear now. Only took a couple of years to figure it out

@Kaboom + Tyler ive been chasing leaks in my sol for a year now. I feel your pain... So your leak was under the front fender, between the hood hinge and the door hinge? Where was the water entering the cabin?

You know it's just from some unusual source?
My top does not leak at all. My door seals are excellent and I have a lift to examine the bottom. I can not imagine how water can enter from underneath, everything looks perf.
But after a rainy drive my carpet is wet????
Ima pull my fender soon for a shaved door kit to add wiring and inspect that spot for sure.

Main culprit:
-Aftermarket stereo equipment installed.
The main wI ring harness is where most installers will run wires.
Check that the grommet was replaced properly, & is still functional.
Thesee rubber bits breakdown after years of wear & tear.
2: Sunroof.
- Check that the gutters are clean.
Most drains run out behind the wheels.
Use a bottle of water & watch the flow rate. It should run @ a good rate, & not pool.
Also make sure the pipes/tube are connected to the drain as they can become dislodged.
I often pull the trim off to inspet for moisture or signs of it.
This is a great time to do this test, you can see if/where the water flows into your cabin.
3: Wire tuck/Shaved bay:
Wire tuck/Shaved engine bay will degrade of time, leaving many places for water to find its way in.
The heat from the engine, & ambient cool air cause the materials used to fill/seal the holes to expand, & retract. (You get the idea)

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
wa sup with the tagged wires and radiator hose?
Use a sharpie marker on the wires from behind the terminal (out of sight) to identify them and get rid of the hose tag.
Otherwise, looks dang good, approaching great.

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
Hello Javier!
Long time. I am going to let the Max Extreme control all of the REVO functions as I wish to learn a lot more about it in the near future. I have not yet set the system in place but have almost everything I need but the DSS 5.9s. I went and got a JDM ITR box and rebuilt the entire chassis on my daily to test the REVO system on a much lower setting. The drag car (your old one) is going to get an identical system for transfer later after I get very aquainted with the full system.
I just got back last week from Endyn's shop with the motor and couldn't be happier. That motor is going into the drag car and my other GEM sleeved block is going into my daily ride. Having it finished up this spring locally.
This AEM Infinity system is incredibly complicated yet simplifies initial set up and tuning once learned. This old dog is learning some new tricks with this build. I love the challange though and am never in such a hurry that I would compromise the build.
Have you got a new project?

Bought the 92 a transmission.
Cleaned / restored the headlights for the 99.
Before
After
They're not 100%, but they still look 1000% better then they did before, that's for damned sure.
**** yes.
I've gotta clean the garage, I'll be swapping headlights out, clean the bay (Simple green and a hose??) and put the damned B16 back in it.

Went and got the car from my brother's garage. Its been sitting since last fall, when it was parked for the winter. I have been collecting parts like crazy and the plan is to go all out in the next few weeks.
Can't wait!!!
This is the maiden voyage for 2015.
