symptoms of a bad thermostat
ive searched, but i want a straight-forward answer.
- after the car reaches normal operating temperature, the upper rad hose is warm, while the lower hose is cold.
- idle is higher than what it normally should be (~1500 rpm)
- when i turn on the heat in the car, its not cold, but its less that warm, lukewarm you can say.
i ran the car with the rad cap open to let the bubbles out, but the lower hose doesn't warm up - this leads me to believe that my thermostat has gone bad.
What do u guys think?

Re: symptoms of a bad thermostat (The Destroyer)
when my thermo was out, the car would take forever to heat up in the summer and as soon as you turned the heat on (in the car) the gauge needle would go down to cold almost immediately.
