my sunroof on my 95 EX gets stuck JUST before it pops. i can push on it with my finger, then it pops up the rest of the way. it acts like its getting stuck on a seal.. you can hear the motor working, but only pops bout 50-60% open, then stops, then i have to push it. then opens rest of the way, and slides like normal, any ideas?

I've had my sunroof stick a couple of times now, and it just takes a light push and it's open. Only happens once and a while. I dunno what causes it.

Mine use to do that, I think the motor is just gettng old(not as strong) thats y it needs a lil. push. Try greasing the sides it might help.

Mine does that sometimes. A while back I even took the glass out and cleaned and lubed the tracks, but it still does it. The car has a mind of its own.

I think its a common problem in 5th gens cause myself and another local 5th gen have the same problem. I haven't done anyhting to solve it really, cause I'm lazy, I just take the time to push it open.

Does anyone else have problems with their climate control lights going on and off at will too? Stoopis defects!!!

my climate control does that all i do is slide it back and fourth and it fixes itself and comes back on. I have same problem with sunroof as well. Not big problems they dont bug me that bad. (twitching) I'll be fine in a bit.

Try having (or doing it yourself) your sunroof mechanism lubricated. It seems to help mine when it sticks.

on my 93 si hatch it does that as well, also the climate control lights dim, hell the whole dash sometimes turns off (the lights) maybe there is a bad connection somewhere like where the moonroof switch and dimmer switch is, does anyone know how to fix it?

My sunroof is ****, I don't bother opening it anymore. When its hot outside I get a high pitched whining sound, and when its cold it sticks. Oh yea, one of my plastic sliders is broken too... EX
