So i just changed my brake pads and...
I just recently changed my brake pads to HPS pads and unexpectedly, my brake pedal is so much softer than before. While I was changing the pads, I loosened the top bolt of the caliper where it holds onto the brake fluid tube so a bit of fluid can drip out to make it able to push in the piston to make the caliper fit the new thicker sized brake pads. Was that what I was suppose to do? Do i need to bleed my brake lines now? Did I change my pads incorrectly?

Yes, whenever you open the brake lines to air, they will need to be bled again, the only time that a pad would ever do that is if it was made out of soft clay or something lol.
Each wheel has a bleeder valve on it, fastest way to do it is with two people, one in the car pumping the brakes, and the other opening the valve to bleed it.
Pump the pedal three times and hold to the floor, then crack the bleeder, it will shoot the air out (under higher pressure due to compression). Once you do this and no air bubbles come out, your good to go.
Gravity bleeding is also an option, takes a while, but its the way to go with a one man crew.

shoulda used a C-clamp to compress the caliper piston... but too little too late, I'd bleed the brakes again

Hey Eric, did you ever ship the HPS brake pads I paid for? You told me you would have them shipped out on Tuesday but I have not heard back from you. Let me know if they shipped out or not. I already paid for them on Monday this week. IF you just used them by readng this thread then please refund my money. Thanks.
