Re: Skunk 2 stealth lower control arms.
-Function7 arms are nicely made...but they're cost prohibitive and posess what I believe is a bit of a design flaw: People say they're WAAAAAAY stronger than stock and some guy posted a pic of his CRX that he hit a curb with. LCA's were totally fine. His subframe was mangled. Gee. Nice situation. I bet people are glad that their ultra strong arms used their subframe as a cushion instead of the other way around.
Even if you disagree with my logic about F7 arms....what benefit does one see from $500 LCA's?

...but $500 for arms? What currency? Rupees? Pesos? I don't recall our arms ever being anywhere close to that price.
Cheers!!

Well they look like they're worth a lot more! lol. I didn't know they were $250ish. At those prices...I have no idea why anyone would buy any other aftermarket arm.
F7 arms are definitely a work of art product. I can definitely appreciate the workmanship and engineering that goes into those arms. The adjustable sway bar mounting points are a really nice feature as well.
While all that is beneficial for a track vehicle....most people that buy these arms buy them to attain some sort of internet street cred...and just street cred..I'm not really even faulting that behavior. I'm just pointing out that it's funny to me that people do it under the guise of needing stronger and lighter arms to roll around town in their civic.
It's not a manufacturer's fault that they make a nice looking and functional setup. I'm just saying....

I think I know which guy that was (it was a pic posted by us - haha). Red EF CRX lost control and hit a ditch at around 70mph. Arm survived (albeit bent) but part of the subframe "ear" was ripped. The car was massively damaged all over.... I don't think anything could have saved the car at that speed.

How would you address that concern?

Re: Skunk 2 stealth lower control arms.
Our bushings were designed to last. We have used the same bushing/poly formulation/design for over 12 years and they have held up very well over the years. We've had customers send arms back to us for various reasons and the poly bushings are still in excellent shape even after 7...8...even 10 years on the cars. We've adjusted the design of our aluminum inserts to give better dynamic performance over the years, but the bushings have remained the same.
Here's a version 1.2 arm from 2004 that we recently received for a warranty claim. Bushings still check out as new, with little or no wear.
On top of that, we have a lifetime warranty on our arms that covers our bushings, and we gladly replace the bushings for our customers if they are ever an issue. We've even done warranty replacements for our customers even if their bolts sieze up (i.e. bolt not greased properly) and have to cut out their bushings/bolts to get the arms out.
Cheers!

I'm unsure how to respond to this. It seems like the concerns here were referring to our competitors' bushings.

Ah, I gotcha. The galling is the cosmetic damage I was talking about. Most companies wouldn't warranty something that was damaged. Boys and girls, THIS is why F7 hardware is worth the money - the company knows what they're doing, and takes care of their customers.

Here's more damaged arms that we've collected over the years.... up till this day, we have had zero failures (i.e. they bend like they are supposed to instead of breaking). I could have sworn we had more of them in the "trophy basket".....

We usually lurk in the forums to answer questions and give customer support. To be honest, I've been so busy and have not been active in forums for a while so we had let it slip.....

Thats what you call customer service. I'm glad you popped in. Seeing a response like what you said before, replacing the lca's no questions asked, looking out for the community, Its statements like that would keep a company afloat through tough times. Happy T-day to you and your team, and also Happy Holidays.

Not sure if you consider it a special but we just put out a new price list with lower prices ahead of the holidays... about 10-15% less. Our dealers should have updated their prices and some are running BF Specials.
