Shifting problem in my 92 civic automatic
I was driving my 92 civic the other day and i was shifting it from the 1, 2, 3, 4 and i noticed when i shifted from 1st to 2nd gear i smelt something like rubber burning, can some1 tell me why that is?

I wouldnt do this. I had a auto civic with 190,000 miles on it and it has 240,000 on it now. I never changed the fluid and neither has the current owner. That new slippery fluid will cause many problems with the old worn out clutches. If you're going to change the fluid, I would reccommend rebuilding the auto, or do a 5spd swap.

ok thanks guys cause my moms was like don't do that ur gonna **** up the car and i was like ok w.e cause it has like 270,000 miles on it, (yeah i know its a **** load) and i won't get the 5 spd changeover till i get a lot of money. plus i was gonna get a 5 spd but i didn't have my liscense so my mom was like she gotta drive it home so i can't get a 5spd cause she don't know how to drive 1, also, so i can shift the gears in it?
