seen a junk yard del sol today
was hangin out at the junk yard and seen a del sol. factory lookin paint (black) and left side body damage. rust in the rear wheel lip and on the drivers door by the key hole. front fender had a dent near the door jamb. 1300 bucks and it ran. interior not bad at all. passenger door pannel had to be replaced but it wasnt busted or loose. i couldnt believe it started right up. yeah this is not the typical junk yard with batteries out of all the cars LOL and they got muscle cars there too. seen a 71 nova SS too LOL

yeah i was gonna buy the motor but when we seen it we just didnt want to do that to the car LOL the junk yard gets a list of cars coming in. they seen the del sol on the list and they know i'll buy the engine most likely so they call me...rick, we have 3 civics 98-95 and 93 got 2 accords 02 and 98...etc. so i go see. well the del sol was so clean i thought it might be the truck drivers and he would be parking the truck or something and he brought a personal car so he could go eat or something. it as so clean LOL but it was on the list and it drove..i drove it too around the block LOL but i might become a del sol owner now LOL

Anyway you can get some pics? I would definatly buy it man. Save it from the junkyard, rebuild it and you wont regret it. Del Sols are getting more and more rare everyday.

You should save it, a del Sol doesn't deserve to be in a junkyard =(
I paid $1000 cash for my del Sol from a guy that didn't have the time to fix it back up. It was running so I claimed it the same day.
Before:
After:
It's still a work in progress. Needs paint, minor bodywork, and a B20 swap

while kabooms del sol looks nice after he cleaned it up, this junk yard del sol i'm talkin about looks way better. it must have been in a garage or was washed and waxed before going to the yard LOL (but it still has a few rust issues LOL)

Re: seen a junk yard del sol today
the nova looked great!! must have just come out of the paint booth. i seen this ride 2 weeks ago or so when it was still on the flat bed with oil all aver the flat bed. yep-the motor is shot. the left rear window is either rolled down or missing. its burnt orange and looks still fresh. (dusty from when i first seen it-it looked wet then).
i'll get pics on wednesday or thursday. both of the del sol and the nova. and a few other rides worth saving

not yet. i just got the engines but i still got to wait till they clear the stolen cars list. takes 2 weeks. what do you need? i have engines already. i can also ask the guy for you about parts. i'm there a few times a week anyway. what ever his price is thats what you pay. i dont mind pickin somethin up for fellow members. i wont tell someone about a part i wouldnt use myself though. unless someone wants a part for a car they are selling or something but i can look for you if you would like
