Safety/Reliability Concerns
Hello there H-T.
I was thinking about doing a steering wheel swap to an EK when I get one. I want to do all the research before the build before I just jump in without any idea of what I'm doing. I was thinking about doing a NRG Short Hub to a NRG Pilota steering wheel. I also want to know if you guys think they are uncomfortable to drive with, because I do see some "ricey" slick peices and I want to know if you guys have had experience with them RECENTLY. I've searched through most stuff and a lot of it is from 2012 or older and I would like to know how they are doing as far as quality goes at this time.

Re: Safety/Reliability Concerns
Car info is needed. No one can guess what you have. Also swapping out a wheel may through SRS lights and if you have a safety inspection you could fail also.
EDIT: You say to an EK when you get one. If you don't already have the car then the question is useless. In the USA you can also not buy an EK.

I ask these questions in advance because I want to do all the research before because I'm not a big fan of doing stuff as you go along. I just want something I'm not going to die in because the airbag doesn't deploy. I was actually looking into the CTR wheel because it has the SRS. Do you guys like the look of them?

Re: Safety/Reliability Concerns
Your quote in your signature is true. And I was trying to look into cheaper methods, I don't feel like a steering wheel setup that costs 1/5 of the car itself is justifiable. I think I may just go with a CTR wheel. Thanks!

the nrg setup (short hub -120 and wheel -120) is more than 200 anyway. A decent steering wheel is a momo wheel (350 for the style I would own) and a nrg short hub (120) and thats 470 or 500 including tax.

Not for nothing, the EK platform was never sold in the us. I have a hatch and it's an EJ6. They are all EJs in the us, other than the Si, which is an EM1

Would you like more education, or are you going to stop being stupid now?
