Replacing the Radiator support
How hard is it to remove and replace a radiator support for a 97 ek? I got into an accident and i wanted to see if i can do this without having to weld or take it into a repair shop...

Re: Replacing the Radiator support (turbociviccoupe)
I used a drill for the spot welds, after awhile you can get the welds out and not even punch through. Then I used jb weld to hold it all together, clamped tight and let to sit over night. Checked it over and over for months after I did it and still holds perfect, just make sure the support sits properly and is clamped down right.
I was scepticle at first but I'd figure I try this first and keep checking it and If i see a single crack at least I can drive it somewhere to get a couple welds put on it for not much more.

Re: (Eran)
I simply sanded all the spots that the radiator support would contact to the frame, cleaned it real good, and put on as much jb weld as possible w/o getting messy or a thick layer. The beefy part of the radiator support is held on by big bolts, so that helps, the ony thing I was worried about was vibration and so far everything is still perfect.
