Remove roof trim?
I tried searching but I could find anything (mainly because I don't know wtf it's called). How do you remove the roof trim (two black strips that run on top of the roof)? I got rust building up on the roof for some fucken reason and I need to take care of it.

Re: Remove roof trim? (ABK)
Get a flathead and pry up around the middle. there are clips on the forward and rear parts of those strips. They should just pop off (someone correct me if I am wrong). Hope this helps..

To OP: here's a couple threads I found:

That should get it done.

Re: Remove roof trim? (dr92cx)
let me get you a pic from the service manual, it helped me out tons.
here it is, btw it's the roof molding, i'm pretty sure that's what you need. The roof trim is the piece on the inside in the back.

Be careful though. Try to put the screwdriver as close to the clip as possible because the trim snaps in with a metal snap that runs the length of the trim. If you aren't careful you'll bend the trim and warp the metal.

When I get my car painted in a year or so, I'm having those trim pieces removed, and then the clip holes shaved. That way I still have rain gutters, but I don't have the stupid black trim that fades, cracks, and gets wax stuck on and under it.
