Reading codes: Steady CEL, flashing SRS??
When I try to pull up a code on my 95 Civic, the CEL stays lit, but the SRS air bag light flashes about once per second when the connector is jumped... Is this what it does when there is no code, or is there a problem? I've never seen this...
The car will not start due to lack of spark. Everything is plugged in correctly. I just finished a rebuild on it, got everything set, started it up, ran it for 20 minutes or so, shut it off.... Then I came back a few days later and it won't start at all. It will turn over but won't start.

Not to jack your thread, but my car is having the same problem. I counted the seq of blinks, and came out w/ 21, 92, 51. I got the car running and I get no cels, but my gauges dont work. No oddo, speedo, tach, temp, gas, and no turn signals. Hazards and Headlights work, and the car seems to be overheating.

That means there are no trouble codes stored.

And that means there are no stored trouble codes.
Does the cel cycle on for 2 seconds then go off when you turn the key on?

Well I didn't mention once I got the car runnin I drove around bout 200 miles, no cell codes and SRS didn't do any blinks either. Well today it died again, well it acted like it wasn't getting any fuel. Change fuel filters and checked injectors, still no fuel. Well I unpluged the map sensor reset ECU and it started. Plugged the sensor back up and nursed it home. So I would check that maybe it could be. This problem is in no relation the to the gauge cluster.

you might want to take a look at the main fuel relay !!! when you turn the key to the on position you should hear a click then when the check engine light goes out you should hear another click ... if you dont then momst likely your haveing the same problem as me and you need a new main fuel relay ... it sucks but its common.... good luck man

When I turn the key on without the connector jumped, the CEL goes out as well as the fuel pump primering noise. I'm getting plenty of fuel, but no spark.
I'm pretty sure its something in the distributor. Just because if the ECU has no codes stored, and there is still no spark, then the problem is somewhere after the ECU on the ignition 'circuit'.
Thanks for the info about no codes! I wasn't sure about the flashing SRS light, I've never seen that before.
mericbe, I thought your only problem was that your cluster was messed up. For overheating, did you bleed the air out of the coolant system? Take the radiator cap off (while cool!), and then let the motor completely warm up and the thermostat to open up before you put the cap back on. As far as running goes, does it studder then die? Any swaps or mods done to the car? I remember I had a car that would run 1/2 the time and would cut out when it did run, just because of a bad splice to the distributor... Get back to me and I'll try to help you out some more. Post some things up like what car you have, what motor, mods, etc...
