can you replace the sunroof seal on a 6th gen civic?
My sunroof seal is looking really bad, I dont think it is leaking yet but it probably will soon. I checked over at majestic honda and from the parts diagrams, it appears that you have to buy a whole new glass panel because the seal is permanently attached. Is this true or is there a way to replace the seal without having to buy a whole new sunroof?

If you don't find the answer you're in search for, I would suggest either calling Honda directly or another company that carries Honda parts to find out what options you have in replacing this as cost effectively as possible

Well the seal part number is 70080-S01-A01 and runs $25.45 on http://www.slhondaparts.com . As for replacing the seal, I would honestly recommend the helms manual for replacing the seal. Makes things alot easier using it.

That is the part number for the frame seal that is inside the roof panel, I want the seal that goes around the glass sunroof panel that you see from the outside when the sunroof is closed, as far as I can tell, you have to buy the whole sunroof/glass combo at $265. There's got to be a better way.

fyi, the sun roof seal doesn't seal out water perfectly. that's why there are drains for the area around your sunroof. sunroof leaks are usually caused by plugged up drains
