Default over heating problem

Ok so my 95 ex coupe has been overheating and well I can't find why? At first it started about 3 days ago.. I was at the gas station parked there and it started to get a lil hot but as soon as I moved the car the temperature went back down, so I figured maybe my fan wasn't kicking on... but as soon as I got home I checked it out and well my fan was on.. I checked all over for leakes or cuts in my hoses and nothin.. I then check my radiator and well its full of coolant.. I then check my oil and my muffler to see if there where any signs of a cracked head gasket and well my oil had no water in it and my exhaust wasn't smoking white.. I then assume its my thermostat.. so I take it out and drive to the autoparts store and pick one up.. the drive to the store didn't over heat at all.. I then replave the thermostat I leave it running for about 30 minutes and no over heating but as soon as I drive it it starts to run hot!

Anyone have any ideas?

what do you mean slightly over heat? How high did the needle go? Real strange. dumb question but are you sure you bled out all the air bubbles?

by slightly overheat i mean that it gets a lil above the half way mark there will be times when it starts to get a lil hotter then go right back to just above the halfway point

no water has been coming out of the overflow tank

and i doubt that its clogged cause i flushed the radiator, and yes i bled out the air bubbles,

someone help me!!!!!!!!!1

AFR's being too lean can be a problem, too.

However, when was the last time the water pump was replaced? The fact you mention that when you start driving and that's when you overheat leads me to believe there is an issue with the water pump not keeping up.

Where do you live in the states? If you are using 50/50 coolant, you could always try to dilute it with some distilled water. Water is thinner than coolant, and thgus can disperse heat faster.

I check under my car after every delivery to see if I can find coolant leaking and I havnt spottd any leaks, also checkd the oil to see if it looks like there's water in the oil and it looks fine and checkd the coolant numerous times and it looks fine as well, and the water pump is wjat I was thinking too, just wasn't sure

When my water pump was going out, it started making a whining niose intermittently.
Are you hearing any noises coming from the timing belt area?
When is the last time it was replaced?

If you are unsure of when it was last done. Do it now. The noise you might hear is a bearing failing. However, that is not the only thing which can wrong with a water pump.

Do the Timing belt and tensioner while you are down there, too.

The fins on my radiator were so covered with mineral deposits my car would overheat under heavy load. Coolant was flowing, but wasn't getting cooled since it wasn't contacting the fins.
