And that, unfortunately, is the truth

I just installed my Alarm, ordered a Viper 2-way pager from the States as they are overpriced here.
Also programmed Neptune for some anti-theft stuff, doubting about a snap off as I love my stock wheel.

first buy a few wine bottles put 3/4 of the bottle with gas and a rag out the top .,., next jack ur car up every night and take ur lug nuts out till there is a single thread holding them on ,., and wrap ur doors in saran wrap ,,.,. they either get roasted , frustrated or come to an abrupt stop the second they move the wheels

Wheel clamps, chaining the car down, and removing key components to start the car (ecu, take out a few fuses, etc) will prevent theft all day every day.

I know they have forklift type of tow trucks : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awg9t_oscC4

Which is complete B.S. because wheel clamps would be pointless.

Damn you, technology!!

Along with the other mentioned means of security, replace the two ignition screws with tamper-proof screw heads. If they can't remove the ignition switch, the car won't start, hence it won't move.

I actually have (4) of the yellow wheel boots on my car when it sleeps at night...takes me 20-35 minutes to remove them ........towtrucks are gonna make a ton of noise if they try to move a car with 4 wheel boots on it...which is all i need to hear to come downstairs & make my decision about how to handle the situation next....

I'd like to see how that works/looks in the rain and snow, or when you're running late for work.

At the max one boot for the front and one for the rear. 4 may be excessive for some.

Having 4 boots is super paranoid. But it's better than having your vehicle stolen. Make those thieves decide if it's much easier to move on to an easier target. Damn...4 boots?

Paint it a unique color. Studies show that thieves try to steal common, everyday cars in drab, universal colors like silver, black, and beige. Unfortunately, there are as many Civics on the road as geriatrics in Buicks, but you'll be less likely to lose a bright green or blue one than one in a showroom color.

For some of the money I hear people spending on their cars in terms of crazy *** security, (not to mention go fast mods) you could probably buy a house/apartment with a garage.

having a house/apartment with a closed garage is always a good method, no doubt. It is when you are out shopping (malls) or watching a movie at the local movie theater. That's a haven for lowlife thieves lurking to steal cars and other personal property.
