Hey guys just finished an Ls/Vtec swap in my 92 hatch and noticed after I let the car run for a while oil is seeping from the exhaust manifold/downpipe junction. I took the exhaust manifold off and cylinder #3 is covered in oil as is the spark plug in that cylinder. What could be the cause of this and what can I do to try and figure out what needs to be fixed? Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks...

Is it smoking? have you done a comp. test? Could be a problem at the bottom of the spark plug tube, or oil control rings all the sudden.

I am smoking; a lot of white/gray smoke. I will be performing a comp test later this afternoon any other ideas?

could be a bad head gasket (if u see coolant in the oil pan) or piston rings

Ok compression test resulted in 180 across the board. Would it be safe to say its something wrong with the head then or could it still be piston rings/something with the block? Havent been able to get a leakdown test yet...

sounds like a bad head gasket... have you checked the radiator fluid? is it weird looking and did you pull the dipstick, cuz if you do that and the oil looks milky and brown and black and weird you have a blown head gasket

now if you are saying their is oil on the spark plug are the valve cover gaskets good (the ones that go around the plugs)

Well the coolant in the radiator is clean. Pulled the dipstick and thats clean as well so I dont think its the head gasket. I pulled the valve cover and the spark plug gaskets are good as is the valve cover gasket....
