OBD-0 D16A8 ZC into 5th gen civic OBD-1
Hey guys, I have a few questions to ask about swapping in an OBD-0 engine into an OBD-1 car...specifically EG hatch
I was initially going to build him an allmotor mini-me but he decided he wanted to go with a DOHC ZC, so today we went to check out a d16a8 which was in fairly good condition and we picked it up.
Now from what I read, the d16a8 is an obd-0 engine as it's from the 88-89 era...so how difficult would this be to install it into a 5th gen OBD-1 civic hatchback?
We will be running his hydro tranmission, light flywheel and I am going to rebuild the engine internally with stock parts to freshen it up...but I'm just wondering how hard and/or PITA it will be to hook up the wiring?
We will be running the P28 ECU aswell and I was planning on using the factory obd-1 wiring harness.
I've searched here a bit and can't find much info on this.
Thanks!
bart
