Default New ECU and IAC Problem

I recently did an auto to manual conversion on my 99 civic ex. Everything was going good till I got my manual ecu in. When I plugged it in... i got an erratic idle loping between 1500-1700 rapidly and a code P1708 ( IAC fault). Well, after looking through my manual, we have came to the conclusion that the sensor isn't getting any readings at all. On an automatic civic ex, the IAC valve is mounted on the throttle body and it is the rotary type with 3 wires connected to it. On manual civic ex's, they have linear type IAC's mounted at the intake plenum. Anyways, when plugging in the new manual tranny ecu, the connections from my IAC don't correspond with the terminals of the ecu and there is an extra wire. Does anyone know if I'll still be able to use my IAC and have to rewire or do I have to mount a new IAC on the intake and have to rewire. What is the difference between the linear type and rotary type IAC valves. As much as possible, I would like to just try to figure out a way to rewire and not have to buy a new IAC. If it is possible to rewire it, does anyone have any schematics on what wires what on the connectors going into the ecu? Thanx for all your help!
