Default Need Help/ Car wont start!

ok crazy story ill make a long story short.

was headed back from the hospital going about 55-60. and car just simply stops. it was like it ran out of gas, coasted over to the side of the road
popped the hood everything looked fine. so i thought it was the timing belt i popped off my distributor cap and turned it over and the rotor didnt turn. so its a sign of the timing belt. so im ganna replace the timing belt and the water pump. do you guys think thats the case?

Very well could be your timing belt. Unfortunately, when our motors toss a timing belt, pistons usually collide with valves and at the very least bend a few of them.

So your fix will more than likely include more than your timing belt.

You can check the condition of your valves by doing a leak down test in each cylinder.

what are the odds of it just being the timing belt? cause i know a valve job is pretty much better off getting a new motor

No, but your timing belt is definitely destroyed.
