Default Need directions on how to wire in a b16a in a 98 civic ex

So i have a jdm b16a sir-2 already installed in my 98 civic its running but i needed a new engine harness mines messed up and I didn't wire it before. How its setup right now is a jumper harness from odb2 to odb1, I talked to the shop i was going to have do it and they said 4-5hrs @ $100hr. So im thinking of trying to do it my self.

What wires need to be spliced and lengthend?

they have it so I don't get any check engine lights and i dont have a knock sensor either. I know theres a trick for that but i dont remmber if it had deal with wires from the engine harness.

Any help would be great,

If people are actually paying that kind of money I need to start building harnesses.

O2 sensor wiring usually, sometimes IAT wiring. Essentially whatever doesn't reach (or doesn't reach without stretching)

There is a knock sensor trick using a piezo electric buzzer IIRC. You'll also need to perform the CKF trick (or buy a USDM oil pump and CKF sensor) and you'll need a USDM '96 - '97 Del Sol VTEC ECU (these are super hard to find, and IIRC Honda no longer has any left) alternatively you could run a '99 - '00 Si ECU with a jumper harness.

These diagrams should help you out:

I run a p30 ECU which came with my motor, its on a odb2-odb1 jumper harness, they also made it to pass inspections so i can run my D16y8 ECu with without the jumper harness on the regular engine harness with b16a and just limp it without any issues.

The motors been installed and running no check engine lights or anything for the past 3 years. Also i forgot to state my car is a 1998 Honda civic EX 5spd d16y8 stock

It's just hard to know what Synapse Motorsports did when they installed the motor for me..

In that case find another '96 - '98 EX harness, you will need to do very minimal mods to it to make it work. A couple of things need to be lengthened and the CKF trick needs to be done but that's it.

I already have the new harness for a 98 civic ex D16y8 5spd which i needed.

Is it possible to get the motor running by just wirring up all the easy plug and play sensors, then i could drive it to the shop and let them do the little work thats left, cause like i said they said 4-5hrs work to install the new harness...

you dont need to do the CKF trick since your running a obd1 ecu... just do it yourself, plug everything in then extend the primary o2 wires

I need to do the ckf trick sence i hook up my odb2 d16y8 ecu to run the b16a to pass emssions sence i can't with the p30 b16a ecu being odb1.

Now when i go to swap the engine harness is there any pins where it connects to the jumper harness on the Main Engine harness that I'll have to repin?

How i wanna install the harness is take each sensor/plug off one at a time and find the matching one on the new harness and plug it in, instead of taking the entire engine harness off at once and forgetting where one may go. I'm not a super good mechanic but im not stupid and can work on basicaly anything on my car its just kind of indtemdating. as i dont wanna **** it up then it not run and have to have it towed to the shop..
