hey man, my buddy has a 92 hatch with a d15 swap and y8 with p28 computer. car runs like ***** and wont idle smoothly at all. i was wondering if you could tell me what harness you have on this car. his also does not have the IAT in the intake runner like yours. his is out in the tube before the throttle body. i doubt that is correct so im trying to figure out how to help him fix it. thanks

I had the same issue with mine running like ***** with a p28. I am running a Po6 on it right now. I know i dont have vtec but it runs decent. I keep getting a check engine light but havent had the chance to check the code. I am running a z6 harness on it now.

The IAT was in the intake tube before. I dont have pics but it had the factory Y8 intake tube with the sensor before the throttle body. I am using the Skunk2 intake manifold thats why it was relocated into the intake. You can use a Z6 intake manifold and it mounts in the manifold. The only issue I have with the Skunk2 is clearance. The IACV is almost kissing the proportioning valve. Either manifold will work for you.

So my car was making this loud noise from the back and thinking my rotors were warped. Comes to find out that my rear hub assy was bad. Took of the cap off the hug and was full of metal shavings. Didn't take to many pics of the tear down cause it was getting late last night and was rushing before dark to get it disassembled.

Before

All apart

The culprit behind the problem.

New hub

Studs out

Extended wheel studs in and remounted

All done. This thing is so much quieter now. I can actually enjoy the radio at high way speeds.

A quick pic

Also got around to installing my COBB intake on the wrx.

What throttle body did you use and did you use the stock cable or replace?

Its using the cable and throttle body I assume. The swap was already in the car when I got it. Im going to guess its the factory Y8 throttle body.

Damn it this thread actually gives me motivation to work in my bone stock CX as well. Your car is pretty much where I'd like mine to be.
