My Do-It-Yourself D16Y7 swapped to D16Y8 and many upgrades in my EK
Pics are worth a million words.
Out came the D16Y7
engine out
added some upgraded motor mounts
my built up D16Y8 will have a new home
preparation of the wiring.
the oem plugs
you know what they are
plucked terminals from this connector
soldering and heat shrink
pass wires through this hole
modification at the ECM
wiring in the engine bay
motor finished
needs a brake upgrade from 9 inch to 10 inch WINTER integra spindles
pads
rear suspension upgrade
this broken bolt head gave me some grief.
i drilled it out

Look pretty good. My only suggestion is that you should apply heat to the whole outside (360 degrees) of the shrink tubes when doing wiring, it looks like you only blasted it with heat on one side.

Re: (kp)
nice build. is the car turbo'd? i thought i saw an intercooler in there. And all that rust would just **** me off! I'm glad cars don't rust up like that here on the west coast. I am however really surprised at how easy you got those rear lower control arm bolts out. they usually rust n break off inside those arms.
