i was drivinmy 93 si hatch, and i was in third gear, all of a sudden it start blogging out and slowing down...i put it in second and gas it, and it still wont go, the car still slowing down. then it came to a complete stop...i tried starting it again... it wont start....i push started and it seems like its gunna start... but some how its not gettin enough gas. my coils are good.. i changed new spark plugs and wirings. before this even happened.. i even tried startin and giving it a little gas. but then i hear it some how blogs but still wont start...tried jump starting it. and it wont work...i tried a lot of things but no help at all.....can any help me on this problem? please i need your guys help.....THANKS

out of gas maybe? clogged air filer? check fuses, fuel pump operational?. got spark? check main relay.

sounds like either the fuel filter or the fuel pump is clogged. try checkin that

Here's a few things to look for.
-When you try to start it does your check engine light turn on?

-When cranking the engine do you here the main relay clicking (under the dash on the drivers side next to the kick panel)

Common problems

-Does your engine have the stock fuel rail? If so check if you have a diaphragm on the inlet gas line on the fuel line. If so take the plastic cap off (just pull) and turn the screw (#2 Phillips) about two turns counterclock wise, then turn it back to where you started from. It's possible that you had debris that got past the filter into the rail.

-Check your cap and rotor and clean/sand down your rotor using 100 grit sand paper.

ok i've just tried all the method u guys gave me....the fuel pump is all good and the fuel is good..theres gas going through.. but the only thing is ....i've check to see if theres spark comin from the spark plugs wires.....and there is NO spark....i've check the wires and the spark plugs...those are still good...cuz i tried it on my friends car. and it starts. but when i put it back on my car it wont start....so im not sure where and y there is no spark....the check light engine doesnt goes one and i dont hear a clickin sound on the main relay, fuel filter and the fuel is good. and i also check the fuses all the fuses are good. can anyone give me any advice or help please...and also the coils are good ..i sand it too and the color on it still looks good....i need to know why theres no spark....my friend told me it might be the distibutor or the relay... but not sure.....help me out people....i need my car runnin so i can get to work by wednesday..hahha...thanks alot guys!!!

Ok you should have done that from the start (check to see if you had spark), I could of told you what your problem was then. The problem is your igniter, an even more common problem. It's located in your distributor cap. replace it and your car WILL start. (Just remember to have your keys out of your ignition when doing this, as you will get a shock of your life if they are left in.)

thanks man....cuz today i bought new distributor from AutoZone.with lif time warentee....i put it on and it started..then when i reved it....it died...and i remember some one told me distributor from autozone always does that....u gotta keep returning it till u get a good one.....

so when i wwake up in the morning im gunna go get igniter....hope fully it wont die on me again...

but the thing is that got me wonderin is when i put it a new distributor...why did it still died out?

does the igniter work differently or will it be better to just change the igniter?

im gunna let u guys know more info if i still have a problem
