Mugen RR Tailights
Is it possible to buy just the tailights from the new Mugen RR? I was thinking about converting my 97 civic tailights, to those. Any thoughts?
Also, is there any spoilers exactly like the Mugen RR that would fit a 97 civic? It can be a replica or not, but I want the exact specs (besides the length to fit). It's the only spoiler im interested in

Re: Mugen RR Tailights
It would be difficult to make them fit due to the differnt trunk angle. if you really like the JDM civic they sell them in canada as the Acura CSX. same tail lights and everything.. personally i woulnt do extensive taillight conversions , IMO its sorta ricy.
here is the CSX
Personally if you want to be differnt i would do an Acura EL rear trunk conversion.
Same car as the civic just sold in canada as an Acura along side the civic

Do they have the 1st one with a black housing? Not blacked out, but I guess you would call it smoked.
Do you know any links to were you can buy them?

Re: Mugen RR Tailights
The first one isnt black housing its just in the shade it looks the same as the CSX. The Civics are illuminated and the CSX's are off because its outside during the day.
I dont know where you can buy them you would have to go to ACURA of canada because they are the ones who designed the JDM civics belive it or not. So all the taillights would come from canada. I would guess they would be around 300 or 400 for the set. then the body work alone is going to be in the 2 to 3 grand range with paint.. personally i dont think its worth it I would go with the 1.6 EL trunk lid inner tail lights and outer tail lights

Re: Mugen RR Tailights
IMO i woulnt just for the fact of if you get tired of them later or grow out of the custom look stage you cant go backy you are stuck with them. thats why i recomended the acura EL trunk because if you get tired of that you can go back no problem vs having to cut the car up more or end up getting another shell. Bolt on stuff is easyer to erase than custom stuff , Plus the lines on the Newer Civic tail lights do not match the 97 civic lines at all they would look goofy and there would be alot of moullding that i think would look wierd and you may think so to when you see it
