Motor mounts don’t fit right
Have a b swapped eg that came with hasport mounts. The poly bushings in them looked crusty so I decided to purchase replacement hasport bushings. Took old ones out slid new ones in. Mocked them up in the car and noticed that they slid in with no resistance and after torquing down to spec the poly bushing face to chassis bracket had about 1/4 inch of gap between them. Seems like installing the motor like this would allow the motor to move back and forth. Could I bend the motor mount brackets to eliminate the gap or should I return the bushings for thicker ones???

the urethane does not need to touch the sides of the pocket the mount sits in. if it did there would be much more vibration transferred to the cabin. the pin in the middle keeps the mount in place

What Hasport said. I have 1320 mounts which are knock-offs of the Hasport design, and they sit the same way.
The rubber is to insulate and reduce vibration from the center sleeve, you don't want the rubber touching the metal mount point.
