Default B18B1 in civic code 9

Ok I have a b18b1 swap in my ej1. Its obd 1. While I was driving my cel came on. I checked code and its cel 9? What exactly does that mean. Take in mind swap has been running for a year no problems. I need a new dizzy?

Cel code #9 is cyp which is the cylinder sensor. Check the sticky at the top of this forum thread.

I know what the cel means. But I read its the dizzy. The weird thing is I jumped the connector. Turned the car off,had breakfast came back to car to go to work and now its gone...? Wtf? Is this a sign of a soon to fail dizzy?

Replace the distributor, at at least the distributor housing, coil and igniter should still be fine. Either buy an OEM distributor housing from honda or buy a distributor king aftermarket unit, most of the other aftermarket units are junk. For what it's worth I ran a D15B7 for years with a bad distributor sensor (can't remember if it was CYP/CKP or TDC anymore, but one of them was bad for years) in finally had one of the other 2 sensors go bad and that put it into limp mode.

Well came back on today and again...after I shut the car off and then back on its gone. Was the same cel though cuz I scanned it....and then openedbup dizzy and found this..powder rust looking color..is that normal? Never seen that.
