Maintenance list
Hey guys,
I am just looking for some input, I got a 1999 civic cx. Now I am wanting to do a major maintenance overhaul. The car has 220,000 km or 136,000mi.
My parts list so far is,
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Fuel Filter
4 quarts of 5w30
Oil Filter
Air Filter
2 quarts of Manual trans fluid.
I think these are more or less the major things that will be good for the car. What else do you guys think might be a good idea to change.
Also breaks have been done, including a disc break conversion.

Re: Maintenance list
First off, brakes, not breaks. Unless you want to break things, rather than make your car stop, in which case...carry on.
Second off, FAQ sticky. Check it out. It's there for a reason. Specifically, this thread and this thread.
While the timing belt is off, you might as well go ahead and replace your other belts (AC/PS/Alt), be sure to visually inspect all of your hoses and lines for swelling, colapsing, cracking, or weather damage, inspect your chassis for rust spots, inspect wiring under the hood for any fraying, cracking, or damage, and give your car a good once over with some detergent soap (dish soap works well, you want something without any kind of additives or wax), some rubbing compound, and a fresh coat of wax.
