Default LCA bushings remove/install with HF press?

If I buy the 20 ton press at harbor freight, what kind of adapter will I need to buy to remove and install the bushings of a LCA on 1993 civic cx? Will the 20 ton press at harbor freight be able to remove the old bushings without having to cut and saw the inner metal sleeve of the existing bushings? Any info will be appreciated.

My 12 ton press made it a simple project. Used sockets or races rented from autozone.

So with the press and a socket you were able to press it out with ease?

Here is the sizes for the rear LCA's of your car. You car should be the 16.3104 kit size. So 1.15" size should push out the old bushing without issue.

Use a socket and push them out.

Thank you.
Do you have this type of diagram for the front? Also where would buy something that is 1.15" that I can use?

Have you had experience pressing out a wheel bearing with the press? Also did you use sockets as well? Or did you have to buy specific adapter plates to install.

The 12 ton gave up when I tried it on a CRX rear trailing arm bushing. I boxed mine up and took it back to the store. You are better off buying the 20 ton press.

I was actually able to pound the bushing in the rest of the way with a 2 pound brass hammer though. Of course trailing arm bushings are bigger and Honda's tolerances on the shape of the trailing arm isn't that great. One side went right in no problem (with the hammer). The trouble side had actually coned the original 89 bushing's sleeve due it being misshaped.

Heat up the area around the bushing with a torch right before pressing them out. It makes the bushings come out ALOT easier. If you have trouble putting it in put the bushing in the freezer and heat up the control arm and give it another go.

I can say that the heat truly works, did it for my energy suspension rear trailing arm bushing ..
