Default jdm d15b and matching 5-speed tranny swap into civic hatch - shift linkage too short?

first off the car is a 93 civic hatch dx. just got done swapin in a jdm d15b and matching 5 speed . doin a 5 speed conversion at the same time. went to hook up the shift linkage and its like 2 or 3 inches to short. i got the shift linkage from someone who said it was 92-95 single cam linkage. is it possible that i have del sol linkage. or what is the deal.. please help

del Sol linkages are actually longer.

The issue seems to be that you have the incorrect linkage. Try another.

or go to the junkyard and get stock 5speed linkage that came in your car originally.

thanks wrong linkage yes.this i realize i guess my question should have been what linkage will work. all i can find at the moment is 95 4 door linkage.

A 95 4-door linkage will work just fine. Same part number for 2, 3, and 4 doors.

Just go to a junkyard and get the shift linkage throw it in and it should be all good

My guess is that you have a CRX shift linkage. Those are shorter. That is the same issue I had with my car when I converted it. This guy told me it would fit, but it didn't and it was from a CRX.
