How to wire a Vtec light. for OBD1 ( the correct way)
ok here is what happened i had looked arround a few forums lately to wire up my vtec light. ok well here it is...
Materials needed:
1. LED of your choice 1 pc
2. Gauge 22 or thinner wire 4 meters
3. Electrical tape
Procedure:
Mount the LED where you think it is most visible. i put mine in my cluster with one of the free spaces.
Connect the negative pin to the ground to the negative screw ont eh back of the cluster
you can take the positive wire and put it on the constant power plug on your fuse box.
Now there are two ways in order to tap on to the vtec line.
You can tap directly to the ECU. the third plug Orange wire with the white stripe i did this one so i wouldnt have to go through the fire wall. to me this was much faster
Or you can Tap directly to the vtec solenoid socket! All you have to do is route the wire from the LED to the engine...

LOL. I guess vtec is always engaged then All you have to do is run a wire from the solenoid and ground it.
