I think all you have to do is take the wheel off, then remove the brake assembly, then take a hammer to it and beat it out...pop the new one in and put everything back on.

Not enough room to do it this way. You have to press out the splined hub from the bearing to get them out and in.

you could grind off some of the stud where it catches the hub, make a little more that a D shape and beat it in. Not the correct way to do it but I used it on a Sunday, out of town, with little to no tools and drove it home. Worked for me for a year and a half now.

I remember changing one out on a '00 Civic sedan that way...might be different for the earlier models.

<FONT SIZE="5">Here's a very detailed writeup with lots of pictures on how-to do it.

&gt; "OMG, Syndacate, where did you find that?"

&gt;&gt; "Well, my friend, it was on the big 'FAQ' thread stickied at the top of this forum."

&gt; "You mean I didn't even need to search and just wasted everybody's time by creating a new topic?"

&gt;&gt; "Yes, and to think, these write-ups were already assembled in the FAQ and stickied for your (and the rest of H-T's) ease."

^Calm down bro...it's Thanksgiving Day. You should be thankful for people that don't search.

Cant you hammer it in from the back with a rubber mallet slowly so you dont damage the thread? I have a broken stud as well.

I have ARP extended wheel studs and could i just replace all 8 OEM studs by cutting and hammering it in from the back? Has anyone replaced all 8 studs with extended wheel studs doing this method?
