how to bypass the neutral safety switch.
I'm doing a 5 speed swap and need to figure out how to bypass the neutral safety switch so that i can use the orignal starter wire. Thanks!

Splice the 2 largest wires under the center console together, they are in a plug that plugged into the automatic shifter assembly. One is black with a red stripe, the other is black with a white stripe.

ok, i got passed the neutral safety switch, but now my key will not come out of the ignition untill i dissconnect the battery. its like locked. how do i bypass this?

there a blue box under the dash unplug it and youll be good or just take of your sterrin colum cover look at the ignition and by were the key goes there will be a white cover take it of and whats under it problem solved

Completed my swap but my key is stuc
k now.n my gear shift wont move unless the battery is unplugged.. i did the bypass for the reverse switch already but it wont read park to release the key. It also wont go pass 5500 rpm

If you're talking about an auto to manual swap:
Remove auto gearshift entirely.
Rewire for the starter interlock and reverse lights.
Disconnect or remove the key cylinder solenoid.
Use a manual ECU. Auto ECU will naturally throw transmission codes finding there is no auto transmission in the car. Any time the CEL is on a rev limiter is imposed.

^ that's just dumb, and a complete waste of time/money.
there is a blue box under the dash/steering column. Unplug it and the key will come out.

He cant locate the blue box for some reason. I dont think you need to buy a different cylinder. I read somewhere that all u had to do is open it up and remove the pin inside for the key to come out??
