Default Honda's ZC engine??????

I recently read in the Jackson Racing catalog about a Honda engine called the ZC. I have never heard of this engine before. All J.R. had to say about it was that it is a non-VTEC DOHC widely used in Europe and Japan, but has become a popular swap in the states. Does anybody know anything about this engine. I am very interested to know the displacemnet, horsepower, torque, etc, etc.. for this engine.

it's 1.6 liters, I believe you can find them in first gen integras. they are ok motors.

1.6l
DOHC
130hp

Similar to the First gen Teg motor. Only major difference is the ZC has higher comp. pistons and more aggressive cams.

Hope that helps

it's an easy swap in 4th gen civics. straight bolt in and cheap. it was the standard engine in the JDM Si hatch. check out the hybrid page for more info...

you'll also have a tough time getting it smogged in some states (notably CA, but since you're in TX i guess it doesn't matter).
ZC engined 4th gen's have that funny ZC bump on the hood... it's different from the SiR hood
