I did the tune up wires and plugs. Did not do the cap and rotor they seemed fine. For the codes I went to Azone and was told that they weren't receiving any codes when hooked up. The cel has never been on according to the previous owner. where is the 7.5 a fuse, will give it a check. Also what does that fuse do?

in the "under the hood fuse box" you'll see it.

I had an issue kind of like this. The back up fuse was blown and once i changed it, my tranny was stuck in fourth gear. Check that fuse!

I checked fuses they were okay.. However I did notice a loose wire/sensor i think it goes into the air filter because there was a hole there, I connected it and car seems to be running better no black smoke nor rpm problems.. May this have been the solution? how can I upload a pic from computer?

Your CEL is probably missing a bulb and it sounds like the IAT sensor you're talking about.

So would this IAT sensor be the cause for my problems?

Focus on getting your ECU to store CEL codes. It will help diagnose the problems.

Your CEL in the cluster is most likely not working and your ECU is also probably not receiving Back Up voltage so that it can store codes.

When you turn the key from OFF to ON(II), does the CEL ever turn on?

Take out the cluster and see if the bulb is blown or missing.

Also how do I check the ecu?
Unplug ECU connector B and check whether terminal B21 (Wht/Blu wire) in the unplugged wire harness connector gets battery voltage.

It's definitely running rich prob due to a bad sensor. I'd try a dif map and throttle position for engine coolant tempetc. U never said the car make and year. I assume it's obd 2 so take it back to AutoZone and use there scanner to look at live data and make sure the tp s, etc, and map r all reading correctly. the motor has way too much fuel!

It seems to be running fine now. I replaced sensor (it was disconnected) by the air filter. Also I did say car make/year on title. Before like 18mpg now like 20-25 depending on how I drive. I hope that sensor was the problem..
