Default spark plugs.. black base but white tips???

i took my spark plugs out today just to check to see how things looked. i noticed that i had been having a little smoke from my exhaust after i go into boost and am idling sometimes. everyone says that the smoke looks black/charcoalish. so i figured i was running a little rich. my spark plug tips were whitish and the base was all black. what does this usually mean. car is not overheating and the oil level is still fine. any help would be appreciated. thanks alot

No problem, thats how they are supposed to look.. Ya might want to invest in some wideband eventually tho to watch the a/f ratio since thats more accurate
