Guage Cluster Swap
I currently have a 00 Civic EX and I want to swap out the guage cluster with a 99-00 civic SI with the 140Mph max speed. Is this possible, and what is envolved. Does the sender have to be modified?

Yes, it is possible. Yes it has been covered time and time agian. Yes you can unbolt yours and bolt the other one in place with on additional wiring. No you don't need a 140mph cluster. No your car won't even go 140mph.

Re: Guage Cluster Swap ([G][A][M][E])
My car cannot do 140 now....but when I am done it will. So if this is a plug and play swap....can I just buy the civic SI s7 gauge plates, and stick it over the existing plate?

No. You need to buy the entire cluster.

Re: Guage Cluster Swap (SD350z)
my bros accor will do 140....and we have hit that speed together. But my stock civic will do 115 and thats about it. But i will be droping in a modified b18c with turbo. 140 will not be out of the question.

Re: Guage Cluster Swap (Memnoch)
yeah i used to think having a speedometer say some high speed was cool when i was in gradeschool, but then i learned about governors.
btw, maybe you just described it this way to ensure an accurate description.
to high speeds though and endagering others' lives.

Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
You also have to have a hudge *** spoiler...... So you can make sure your rear wheel on a (front wheel drive vehicle) gets pushed to the ground.
